Produser acara Quelli che il Calcio, sebuah program sepak bola di TV Italia, melarang MUSE tampil live di acaranya: SALAH BESAR, signor!
Sebal dan keki, mungkin, pagi hari tanggal 20 September 2009 itu pun MUSE langsung berulah! Mereka bertukar tempat (lagi): Dom jadi vokalis dan bassis, Chris jadi pamain kibor merangkap gitar, dan Matt dengan senang hati pura-pura jadi drummer. Dalam wawancara di Autralia beberapa waktu kemudian, Dom menyebutkan bahwa dia dipaksa ngapalin dulu lirik Uprising sama Matt sebelum beraksi. Dalam wawancara lain, Matt menyebutkan bahwa dia seneng banget jadi drummer, cuma tinggal cekikikan dan asal pukul di belakang.
Yang lebih konyol, pembawa acara Quelli che il Calcio, Simona Ventura, sempat mewawancarai Dom usai pertunjukan. Maka sandiwara pun mengalir lebih jauh. Dom meneruskan perannya sebagai vokalis dan menyebut Matt sebagai "drummer kami" sementara Matt keliatan nyengir hepi di belakang. Berikut terjemahan kasar wawancara antara Simona Ventura (SV) dan Dom:
SV: So your new album, The Resistance, it's been completely recorded between Milan and the Lake of Como? You love our country? Why you love so much Italy?
Dom: It's a beautiful country, we love to be here. And our drummer Matt lives in Como, so we built a studio in Italy, we had a lot of fun. You can have a lot of creativity!
SV: I know that one of you has an Italian girlfriend, a psychologist, right?
Dom: Yeah, our drummer..
SV: What is better? Clooney's house or the drummer's house??
Dom: I think George's is better. It is huge.
SV: I had read that you love symphonic music, you have a 40 pieces orchestra here in Milan. Why this mix between rock music and orchestral music?
Dom: The band always been kinda influenced by the piano and artists such as Chopin and Rachmaninov so we tried tho take an orchestra to do something different from the past. It's been amazing
SV: You talk a lot about apocalypse and real problems, your album came out on 9/11. is it meant to be something?
Dom: Oh no, it's just a coincidence. Someone thinks about a conspiracy but we are in a different time, the world is different and there was no messages with the album release.
Video ini merupakan salah satu video favorit musers. Mereka puas lantaran MUSE (yang handal maen live dan jarang mengeluarkan sumpah serapah), diberangus kreativitasnya. Gue sendiri berpendapat bahwa joke kecil MUSE itu lucu dan selalu ngerasa bahagia tiap liat video ini, entah kenapa. Unsur pemberontakannya, mungkin? Hahaha! Yang pasti Dom keliatan cakep banget jadi frontman (nyamnyam) dan Matt luar biasa lucu sebagai drummer, berkali-kali salah tempo mukul, bakan stick-nya sempet jatoh di awal lagu. Chris, gitaris dadakan kita, seperti biasa, cool.
Kebayang betapa malunya segenap kru acara tersebut setelah tau dikibulin dan diolok-olok musers di internet. Usai acara, MUSE memang bikin tweet yang berbunyi: Muse trade places for "Quelli Che Il Calcio" TV show in Italy this morning! dan video itu pun laris ditonton, didownload, dan menuai banyak komentar lucu.
